Built for when
it breaks

MemTrex is a UK-registered direct-to-consumer brand selling hobby-grade 1/16 RC cars. Parts stocked in Lancashire. Warranty handled directly. No Amazon middleman.

Why MemTrex Exists

The gap in the market was obvious

The UK hobby-grade RC car market between £60 and £170 has been dominated for years by Amazon-direct Chinese brands: capable products, genuine performance, and almost no UK support infrastructure. No parts stock in the UK. No warranty worth the name. No phone number that connects to anyone who knows the product.

If something breaks after the Amazon return window closes, the buyer is on their own. MemTrex exists to fix that.

The UK hobby-grade RC car market has a specific problem: the segment between £60 and £170 is dominated by products sold via Amazon by brands with no UK presence, no UK parts stock, and no warranty beyond Amazon's default return process. UK buyers who want a hobby-grade 1/16 brushless or brushed car — better than an Argos toy, cheaper than a Traxxas — have been choosing between Chinese brands with good performance and no UK support, or established UK hobby retailers selling other manufacturers' products at retail margin. Neither option gives the buyer a direct relationship with a UK-registered brand that will answer the phone, hold parts in stock domestically, and back the product with a documented warranty. MemTrex is the UK brand that fills that gap.

The Range

Two products. No compromises.

MemTrex launches with two products. Both are RTR — ready-to-run, battery and charger included. Both carry a 2-year chassis warranty and a 6-month motor and electronics warranty. Both have a full UK spares catalogue held in Lancashire.

How We Operate

Direct from us. Not from Amazon.

MemTrex products are sourced from a vetted Chinese OEM with MemTrex-specific quality standards, warranty terms, and spare parts catalogue commitments built into the supply agreement. This is the standard model for UK-branded consumer electronics and hobby goods: the brand owns the customer relationship, the warranty, and the parts supply; the manufacturer produces to specification. What MemTrex adds is the UK infrastructure: stock held in Lancashire, a support operation that answers email within business hours, warranty processing that does not require the buyer to navigate Amazon's dispute process, and a documented parts catalogue that remains available for a minimum of three years from launch.
2yr
Chassis warranty on both models from date of purchase
48h
Parts dispatch from Lancashire for all listed components
3yr
Parts availability commitment from product launch
£0
Amazon margin. We sell direct and pass it into warranty and parts

Common Questions

About MemTrex

Who is behind MemTrex?
MemTrex is a UK-registered brand operated by a solo founder with a UK-based support operation in Lancashire. It is a direct-to-consumer brand selling hobby-grade RC cars with real UK warranty and domestic parts supply.
Where is MemTrex based?
MemTrex is UK-registered and operates from Lancashire, where parts are stocked and dispatched for UK buyers.
Is MemTrex on Amazon?
No. MemTrex sells exclusively from memtrex.co.uk. The direct channel allows MemTrex to offer a real warranty and UK parts supply that the Amazon channel structure does not accommodate for a small direct brand.
Where are MemTrex cars made?
MemTrex products are manufactured by a vetted Chinese OEM to MemTrex specification. This is the standard sourcing model for UK-branded hobby electronics in the £50–200 segment. The UK-registered brand, the warranty, the parts supply, and the customer support are all UK-based.
Can I trust a new brand with £149?
That's a fair question. The answer is the warranty and parts infrastructure: a 2-year chassis warranty handled directly, parts in stock in Lancashire, and a UK email address that resolves to a person who knows the product. The same infrastructure you would expect from an established UK hobby retailer, without the retail margin on top.
Does MemTrex sell to the EU?
At launch, MemTrex ships within the United Kingdom only. EU expansion is planned for a later phase.
